“Maras’ visual language radiates a deep and ethereal cinematic melancholia, intimate and poetic, yet always clear and accessible in its message.”

My main intention is to connect my audience profoundly and emotionally with the subjects I capture. From personal projects to professional ad campaigns, my background in writing, filmmaking, project management, musicology, sociology and academic degree in photography are always present in my visual storytelling, as well as my attitude towards teamwork and professional delivery.

Another important aspect of my work is the documentation of the raw chaotic powers and divine beauty of nature and human interaction. I’m deeply interested in human nature and the disclosure of the connection and disconnection to our environment as well as the advocacy of the urgent importance of protecting our planet and all its ecosystems for future generations.

Having a degree in audiovisual media design and a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Photography, I lectured as a module leader in photography for University of West London/United POP after directing numerous music videos, short films and shooting promotional artist campaigns. During my lectureship I mentored my students about the significance and responsibilities of the visual arts, with the goal to maintain thought and care when creating art in our modern world of fast-paced digital imagery - always advocating the positive impact of human interaction through creativity and altruistic behaviour. 

In 2018 I co-founded the creative content and film production company crafting pictures.
